I use [Auphonic](https://cotovan.com/auphonic) every day, on almost every project I edit, and I’ve been doing that for years. Today I got an email saying I’d reached Loyalty Level 2\. That was a nice surprise! For me, that means I can put **six more hours of audio through Auphonic every month** for the same price.

That’s another six hour-long interviews. If you edit a weekly podcast, think about how many episodes that covers. And if you’ve been paying for Auphonic for a while, it’s worth checking your own account. You may already have a bonus too.

## What I use Auphonic for

[Auphonic](https://cotovan.com/auphonic) is an online audio post-production tool. You give it a recording and it can even out the voices, reduce or remove background noise, breaths, mouth sounds, and bring the finished audio to the loudness you want for your podcast or video.

Take a two-person interview. I might be right up against my microphone while my guest sits a little further away from theirs. I can turn up the guest’s whole track, but what happens when they lean in and laugh? That laugh is now louder too. This is where I like Auphonic’s leveler. It adjusts as the conversation goes along, so you can hear the quieter answer without riding the volume control when I come back in.

If I’m taking a Riverside interview into Auphonic, I can export the edited audio for each speaker separately. That way the cuts I’ve already made travel with the files, and Auphonic gets a clean separation between my microphone and the guest’s. I’ve written up [how to get those edited tracks out of Riverside](https://cotovan.com/post/how-to-export-edited-separate-tracks-in-riverside-for-multitrack-post-production/).

## How many extra hours do you get?

Auphonic now rewards the time you’ve had a continuous Recurring Credits subscription. Look at the smallest plan, Auphonic S. It starts at nine hours a month. After six months you get ten hours, after a year you get twelve, and after two years you get fourteen. That’s five extra hours each month by the time you reach Level 3, without changing plans.

All the recurring plans from S through XXL qualify, whether you pay monthly or annually. The number of extra hours depends on the plan. You can see the figures for your plan in [Auphonic’s announcement](https://auphonic.com/blog/2026/11/04/loyalty-rewards/?ref=cotovan.com). One-time credit purchases and managed subscriptions are outside the programme.

## Where to check your loyalty level

Open your [Auphonic account settings](https://auphonic.com/accounts/settings/?ref=cotovan.com) and look under **Loyalty Rewards**. You’re enrolled automatically. When you reach a new level, the extra hours arrive with your next monthly credit refresh, and you get them every month after that while your subscription stays active.

You can move up or down a plan and take your level with you. If you cancel, the clock starts over when you come back. One detail worth knowing if your card expires or a payment fails by accident is that you have two weeks to resubscribe and keep your level.

What pleased me most about that email was that the time I’d already spent as a subscriber counted. I didn’t have to wait another year to reach Level 2\. And with the amount of audio I put through Auphonic, those six hours will get used.

If you’d like to hear what Auphonic does, try it on an interview you know well. Pick a section where one speaker is hard to hear and play the original and the processed version back to back.
