1-on-1 Training: Riverside, Descript, Camtasia

Cristi is great in showing not telling how applications work. In other words, he works with the customer's product to demonstrate to them how they can make the editing choices they want. He goes another step and records the session so the customer can refer back to the tutorial.

As a visual artist I'm also a visual learner. I sincerely appreciate Cristi's visual application and universal design for learning.

Connectopod creates podcasts with youth as a means to help them understand the power of their own voice, the importance of their unique point of view, and their agency to create change. Cristi was instrumental in helping Melissa Peruch gain the technical skills to go from youth journalist to youth producer, creating broadcast ready content for her very own Connectopod series 'restictED' about eating disorders.

We contracted Cristi for 5 coaching sessions for Melissa, a novice to editing. By the third session, she was editing in Descript, EQ-ing her sound, and using strikethrough edits for content. He also coached first time video editor Angelica Benitez to create a video for a live presentation. Both girls enjoyed working with Cristi and it shows in the quality of their work and the speed with which they are learning!
