How to Change the Transcript Language in Riverside After Recording
If you recorded a session in Riverside with the wrong transcript language selected, you might wonder whether there's a way to fix it without losing your work.
Unfortunately, Riverside doesn't offer a direct re-transcribe option within an existing studio at the moment, but there is a straightforward workaround.
The Fix: Re-Upload with the Correct Language
- Download your raw recordings from the original studio (each participant's track).
- Change the language setting in the studio to the correct one (e.g., English).
- Re-upload both tracks to the same or a new studio.
When you re-upload, Riverside will re-transcribe the audio using the new language setting. It also assembles the files as a multi-track project, so you keep full editing control.
